Elon Musk against the arrest of the CEO of Telegram! It calls for Mark Zuckerberg to be banned instead

A few hours after the arrest of the CEO of Telegram, Pavel Durov, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, Elon Musk came out in support of the Russian entrepreneur and criticized his arrest, which he called wrong.

However, showing his support for Durov, Musk called for Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg to be arrested instead.

According to foreign media, Pavel Durov was arrested by French authorities on Sunday on multiple charges related to his social messaging app Telegram. If convicted of the charges, the Russian-born tech mogul faces up to 20 years in prison.

"Because he has already submitted to the pressure of censorship. "Instagram has a massive child exploitation problem, but there's no arrest for Zuck, as he censors free speech and gives governments access to user data," Musk said on X.
Adding to Musk's statement, Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski added that the French government has also "threatened Rumble, and now they have crossed the red line by arresting Telegram CEO Pavel Durov, who is said not to have censored the speech."

"It is vital to support free speech that you forward their posts. To people you know, especially in censored countries,” Musk added in another post.
During a Senate hearing in February 2024, Zuckerberg apologized to the families of victims of online child sexual abuse.

“I'm sorry for everything you've all been through. No one should have to go through what your families have suffered. And that's why we invest so much and will continue to make efforts across the industry to ensure that no one has to go through what your families have suffered," said Meta's CEO.
