Talks with Putin on the war in the Middle East, Iranian Foreign Minister arrives in Russia

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived in St. Petersburg on Monday, where he is expected to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The meeting with Putin is expected to take place today and is seen as an important step in Tehran's efforts to secure international support.
Iranian diplomacy has intensified following the escalation of tensions in the Middle East and the conflict with the US and Israel, which began in late February, following the first round of talks between Washington and Tehran in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, the Iranian ambassador to Russia, Kazem Jalali, declared in X that Iran and Russia constitute a "united front" in the face of, according to him, "global hegemonic powers," emphasizing the goal of a more balanced world order.
