The main points of this agreement include an immediate ceasefire, guaranteeing freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, and the gradual lifting of US sanctions on Iran.

According to Emirati media, the agreement is expected to enter into force immediately after official announcement by both parties.

However, the White House has taken a more reserved stance, stating that "progress has been made, but we are still far from a final agreement on Hormuz."
