21-year-old enters Mar-a-Lago armed, Trump reacts: A lot of people want to kill me

A 21-year-old man has been shot dead by United States Secret Service agents after attempting to enter the Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida with a gun.
According to authorities, the young man, identified as Austin Tucker Martin, attempted to sneak onto the resort premises while carrying a gun and gasoline. Secret Service agents intervened and shot him after he refused to drop the gun.
US President Donald Trump reacted after the incident, commenting on the incident during an event at the White House. He said in ironic tones that "they only attack important presidents," adding that perhaps he should be "a little less important" to avoid such situations.
Trump also mentioned the fact that he was the target of two assassination attempts during 2024. In July of that year, he was slightly injured in the ear during a rally in Pennsylvania, while a few months later another incident was reported at a golf course in Florida.
