The police have issued an official announcement regarding the arrest of the perpetrator of the armed robbery that occurred today at a currency exchange point in the "Concord" shopping center in Tirana.

According to the police, the perpetrator stole around 3 million lek by threatening the employee with a firearm, as seen in the published footage.

He tried to kick down the door behind which the employee was, but failed, and then hurriedly took the money and left.

He stole about 3 million lek from a currency exchange shop in a shopping mall, threatening the employee with a pistol, the 42-year-old was identified, located and arrested.

The services of Police Station No. 4, immediately after receiving a report of a theft case on "5 Maji" Street, have organized, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, the work to identify and capture the perpetrator.

As a result of rapid investigative and operational actions by the services of Police Commissariat No. 4, the identification, capture and arrest of the citizen took place:

-LM, 42 years old, resident of Tirana.

This citizen is suspected of having stolen around 3 million lekë, threatening the employee with a firearm, from a currency exchange shop inside a shopping center on "5 Maji" street.

The materials were passed on to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
