Orban's defeat/Qori: The Hungarian people gave us a good lesson! In Albania we have a rotten government and a compromised opposition

The Chairman of the Together Movement, Arlind Qori, invited to the show "The Unexposed" on MCN TV, spoke about the overthrow of Viktor Orban from power in Hungary after 16 years.
Qori said that the Hungarian people have given a good lesson to Albanians, too, about challenging autocracy, while saying that Rama and Berisha were both Orban's supporters.
"I don't want to act as an expert on Hungarian affairs, as is the fashion in our country, where hundreds of experts appear, but from what I understand, I believe it is a case of the exhaustion of an authoritarian power, which has brought corruption and scandals beyond corruption. It has been accompanied by economic decline and has made Viktor Orban increasingly unpopular. The character who won the elections came from Orban's party and has had a meteoric rise. He belongs to the center-right, while Orban is on the extreme right.
The loss of an autocrat is always good news, regardless of his ideological leanings.
What impressed me about the Hungarian opposition is that the international support for Orban has had no impact. JD Vance went a few days ago and called for Hungarians to vote for Orban, but he failed. Apparently, the Hungarian people did not ask about Trump or JD Vance. Now imagine if Vance came to Albania before the elections and said vote for Rama, Berisha himself comes out and says I will vote for Edi Rama too. This is to understand the comical character of the old opposition in Albania.
Orban is a consensual figure in Albania, he is loved by Berisha and Rama. Both of them servilely obey every power that comes into the international arena, they have no intention of changing their positions.
I think the Hungarian people have given us a good lesson, in terms of challenging authoritarianism. Orban's rule has had similarities to Rama's rule. Hungary has had a scandal, the President has pardoned people involved in a child sexual abuse scandal and the people have gone out in massive protests, the government has threatened to fire teachers and they have resisted, which shows civic courage. No authoritarian regime is all-powerful, you can have money, oligarchs, threats, but society is many times stronger.
"16 years in power is a lot in a democratic context. The corruption that comes from long and absolute power is inevitable. Wherever there are problems with authoritarianism, a light of hope has been lit. This does not mean that it will automatically happen in Albania," Qori declared.
Asked by Ylli Rakipi why his movement and small parties do not have such success in Albania, Qori said that the two countries cannot be compared and that the winner of the elections in Hungary came from the "Orban camp", while Albania needs a strong moral alternative.
"There is no historical determinism, the experiences of countries do not repeat themselves. In Hungary, the change came from a person who came from Orban's bosom. Orban may have been successful, but not necessarily Orbanism. When it comes to Albania, we are faced with a rotten government and a compromised opposition. They are servants of the oligarchs and servile to the international factor.
Berisha and Rama voted with hosanna for Albania's membership in the Peace Board, initiated by a US president who is opposed from within the US, from Europe, the most progressive part of humanity. Here they align themselves with the next strong one. I believe that Albania needs a strong moral alternative. It is true that we did not have any great results, we have become a parliamentary party, but the past month has given us much more popularity, people have appreciated our character and our stability. We are aware that our goals require a broad transformation of the state, the overthrow of an oligarchic and corrupt system", said Qori.
