An Albanian mother recently suffered after taking her children and traveling from Germany to Albania.

She has reportedly been fined by German authorities after taking her children on a trip away from school.

She had lied that the children were sick to take them on the trip to Albania.

On Monday, she landed at Memmingen airport with her two children from Tirana.

The fraud was discovered during an entry check at Memmingen airport.

The 35-year-old mother now faces a "heavy fine," the Airport Border Police announced in conclusion.

Violation of school attendance will then be forwarded for processing to the districts and municipalities where they reside. The relevant authorities will decide on the amount of the fine.

In southern Germany, fines for breaking school attendance can be quite "salty," Bernd Stapfner, deputy chief of border police at Memmingen airport, said in April.

Parents should expect fines ranging from 200 to 800 euros, while in special cases they can reach up to 1,000 euros.
