He jumped into the river to save two minors from drowning, the Albanian will be "rewarded" with Greek citizenship

Albanian Levian Goga has been in the spotlight for days after he recklessly jumped into the Arakhtos River last week to save two minor children. Unfortunately, the children did not survive and died in hospital.

Goga reportedly had health concerns after the incident, such as a strong cough and breathing problems. He was seen by a private doctor, who recommended that he undergo tests at the hospital. Immediately after learning about it, the Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiadis, ordered that an ambulance from EKA could pick up the Albanian and send him to the hospital for further examinations.

Goga is being treated at the Arta hospital and is undergoing detailed examinations. According to doctors, his condition is not serious and there are no serious concerns. It has also been confirmed that Goga will be awarded honorary Greek citizenship.

Goga is an immigrant from Berat, Albania. He went to Greece 24 years ago, when he was only 17 years old. Without much information and without knowing what to expect, he crossed the border and settled in Athens. There, he did every job without security and without peace, but always fighting and working without stopping.

Goga now lives in Arta with his wife and two children, who are ten and six years old. Their life has been quiet and simple, until on Wednesday, an unusual event changed everything. With his heroic act and without thinking twice, he left the cafe where he was spending his time and jumped into the river to save the children.

After two unsuccessful attempts, on the third time he went deep into the water and found a child lying there, who was motionless and had a darkened face. He rescued him and pulled him out. As soon as he pulled the child out, he learned that the other child had also been found and rescued.
