SPAK's letter on Balluk's arrest/Journalist: Final request a surprise for the court

Journalist Anila Hoxha commented this evening on SPAK's request to the Parliament to lift Belinda Balluku's immunity and arrest her.

According to the journalist, SPAK has acted differently than any other time, and even than any prosecutor before, for similar cases.

According to Hoxha, this is the first time that the Parliament has been told that the lifting of immunity is being requested in order to 'replace the measure of banning him from leaving the country with arrest', while adding that the final request, whether it will be house arrest or prison, will reveal a surprise to the court.

 "SPAK is awaiting a decision tomorrow from the Court of Appeals, and for this reason, it is understood that unlike any request from any prosecution, even those before, there is a difference when it says; through the replacement of the measure from a ban on leaving the country to house arrest, this makes you understand that SPAK, despite the evidence, is trying to treat the Assembly as a court instance, by saying 'for a replacement measure'. The Parliament does not decide on a measure, it removes immunity and paves the way, the prosecutor goes for a new measure... he has not clarified whether he will request house arrest or prison, he reveals this surprise to the court.

Immunity was requested for Tahiri, it was not requested through the measure... so it is not said we will replace the measure. The difference is that when it is said to the deputies, it is said that the measure will be replaced.
