The government approves the list of expropriations!

The Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Enea Karakaçi, after the end of the government meeting, spoke to the media where he emphasized that one of the important decisions signed this Wednesday is related to the expropriation list.

According to the minister, this act signed today aims to ensure the continuity of investments in areas where there have been restrictions, including the creation of the 400 kW substation in Fier, the expansion of Corridor 8 and the improvement of infrastructure in the Port of Porto Romano.

"Expropriations that provide continuity to investments where there were limitations were the creation of the substation in Fier. The expansion of Corridor 8 and the assets of the Port of Porto Romano," said the minister. 

During his speech, journalists also asked him about the increase in the price of transport tickets. The Minister announced that he had held a meeting with transport associations today, further emphasizing that they are in constant monitoring and are reviewing all "scenarios", including subsidies.

-Has there been a request for an increase in ticket prices and what will the government foresee?

Minister: In fact, not more than two hours ago, together with the Minister of Economy and the Mayor of Tirana, we were in a meeting with the transport associations. Of course, the price crisis situation is a situation that we are following. You know that the government has taken several measures, such as the establishment of the board and the excise tax. We know that during 2022, several subsidy acts were taken regarding the associations, an element is being discussed, even though we are still in its early stages. In 2022, we increased it after a few months, but it is included in the elements that we are taking into consideration. We have let it sit again in the coming days.
