Two young men in Tirana were arrested for driving with weapons and narcotics in their car, one of them with a previous record of assault.

Two young men have been arrested in Tirana after they were caught driving with weapons and narcotics in their car.

The police operation codenamed "Hunter" is being finalized, to crack down on the criminal activity of illegal weapons possession and narcotics.

The operation was carried out by Police Station No. 1.

2 firearms, 2 shotguns, 1 cold weapon, combat ammunition and narcotics were seized.

Two citizens who were driving a vehicle with a weapon were arrested, one of them previously convicted of crimes against the person.

In continuation of the work to prevent and crack down on cases of illegal possession of weapons, as well as based on information obtained operationally, the services of Police Commissariat No. 1 organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Hunter".

As part of this operation, the following citizens were captured and arrested: D., 29 years old, resident of Tirana, previously convicted of the criminal offenses of "Intentional serious injury" and "Unlawful deprivation of liberty" and B. Xh., 22 years old, resident of Tirana.

These citizens were arrested during the operation, in Mjull Bathore, Tirana, and during the physical search of them, the Police services found and seized 1 single hunting gun and 29 hunting gun cartridges owned by citizen ID and another hunting gun owned by citizen B. Xh.

Following the operation, during the search of citizen ID's apartment, the Police found and seized as material evidence, 2 firearms, pistols, combat ammunition, 1 cold weapon and a small amount of suspected cocaine.

In cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, work continues on the complete legal documentation of this case.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
