Italian villa owner shoots 3 Albanian thieves, one found dead three days after the incident

The lifeless body of the 25-year-old Albanian, who along with two other accomplices had participated in a house robbery in Foria di Centola, was found late this morning in Limazzo, San Severino di Centola in Italy.

The young man had been missing for more than 48 hours after being involved in a shootout during a robbery. Intensive searches were carried out between San Severino and Foria: drones and sniffer dogs were also deployed on the scene.

The search was coordinated by the Carabinieri of the Sapri Company, and involved aircraft, dog units and numerous soldiers in the area. Also at the scene were dozens of compatriots of the young man and his wife, both Albanians, who had been guarding the area for hours with growing anxiety.

Shooting dynamics: it remains unclear who shot first

The death was apparently caused by a gunshot, which may have come from the villa owner's rifle, at around 10:00 PM on Sunday evening. A pistol was seized at the same time, which may have been used during the conflict.

It is currently unclear who opened fire first: the robbers or the owner, now under investigation along with one of his accomplices, who is currently hospitalized in the Cardarelli hospital in Naples with a gunshot wound. A third person is still missing.

The judiciary intervenes: an autopsy will be performed

Magistrate Francesco Rotondo intervened at the scene of the discovery. The 25-year-old's body will undergo an autopsy to clarify the exact causes of death and the possible trajectory of the bullet.

Moments of tension: Albanian community calls for justice

Tension is rising among the victim's family and friends, who have gathered near the spot where the boy was found. Amidst tears and accusations, calls for "justice for the boy" have been raised, while police are trying to maintain calm and public order./ ANSA
