"They pointed a gun at us in Elbasan"/ Journalist Hoxha reveals the most difficult situation during her work

Tonight on Top Story, the focus of the conversation is the difficulty of current affairs journalists, and the 'struggle' they face.
Journalist Anila Hoxha, who has been part of this profession for over 26 years, has shown that journalists often face threats, which come in various forms.
She also recounted an episode where she and the cameraman were threatened with firearms.
"Every case has its own dynamics... in '99 it was very difficult because there were no telephones, information did not spread like it does now. It was more difficult to obtain information. When I was reporting for the Court, we were filming with the cameraman Eurgert Hoxhaj in Elbasan. The driver dropped us off far from the place where they were going to film at the agro-food market, some people came who showed us their weapons and told us to delete the film, we both managed it calmly, we were definitely scared. I thank the cameraman for not leaving me alone. The most serious threats made to journalists today are related to the family. I constantly wrote to the police, and the messages went to my family. For example, as soon as this majority came, one of the people who was fired from his job was my sister. For many journalists, this is the first form of pressure. To create instability among people close to them," said Anila.
