Camp like Gjadri to help the British? Edi Rama rules him out: We have a faithful
The Prime Minister of Great Britain, Sir Keir Starmer, has paid an official visit to Albania. He met with Prime Minister Rama, where a number of issues were discussed, including illegal immigration.

During the press conference, Prime Minister Rama denied that there is any chance of building a camp similar to Gjadri on behalf of the British, similar to the agreement that Albania has with Italy.

"We have a faithful marriage with Italy, with others it is simply love," Rama said jokingly.

The Prime Minister stated that the replication of the Italy-Albania model, by Britain, could happen with countries in the region but not in our country.

"Regarding the replication of the model that we have brought to Albania in cooperation with Italy, I said at the beginning that it is a model that takes its time to be tested, it is a model that if it works can be replicated but not in Albania, in other countries in the region, where if the result is positive, there is no reason not to have it available from other countries.

"We have discussed the summit that will be held in London in October, for the Berlin Process, where Britain will host the process. Despite the fact that it is a process built within the EU hemisphere, under the leadership of Merkel, to promote regional cooperation in the function of European integration, we believe that it will be positive and an added value that at the London Summit the countries of the region have a window of discussion on the relationship between Britain and the Western Balkans," said Rama.

The British Prime Minister stated that there has been a significant decrease in the crossing of Albanians by dinghy, while adding that they continue to cooperate with Albania to combat this phenomenon, extending it to the region.

"We discussed the effectiveness of the collaborations we have made over the past 2-3 years that have led to the dramatic reduction in the figures you mentioned from 12 thousand, to a reduction of 94%. We discussed how this work, through this joint team, can be extended to the region."

"We discussed, coming out of the meeting this morning, how to work on other cross-border activities, how to share operational elements and intelligence information. This particular model has been the most effective. The Prime Minister and I think alike, we prefer not to talk about the problem and beat around the bush, but to roll up our sleeves and solve it. That is the purpose of this task force," Starmer said.
