The Constitutional Court overturns Evis Berberi and leaves him in prison!

The Constitutional Court has rejected the request of former head of the Albanian Anti-Corruption Commission (ARRSH), Evis Berberi, who sought the abolition of the measure of arrest in prison.

Belinda Balluku's former subordinate will remain in prison.

Meanwhile, other claims regarding the unusability of phone data have not been taken into consideration.

The Constitutional Court argues that he should appeal to the First Instance Court.

We recall that Evis Berberi was arrested on March 14, 2024, on charges of corruption and money laundering.

According to SPAK, he is involved in corruption cases involving 8 tenders, totaling 5 million euros.
