The show "Tak Fak" on News24 brought the case of a family from Lezha, who lives among sewage, while being given no solution by the institutions.
Përparim Dragoi, a resident of the city of Lezha, has been living for months in an apartment covered in dampness and broken sewers.
The source of the problem is the fourth-floor apartment, from where sewage is constantly flowing, damaging the walls, floor, and bathroom of the Përparimi family.
"It smells like shit here, the wall has cracked, everything has come from above," the resident recounts in outrage, showing horrific images of the dampness and damage to his home.
He has asked for help from neighbors, the municipality, the police, and relevant institutions, but the result has been total silence and the ball being passed from one side to the other.
Neighbors on the second floor have confirmed the damage and the source of the leak, while the owner of the fourth floor, Mark Gjoka, acknowledges the existence of the problem, but refers to it as a "fault from the fifth floor or terrace."
What is the concern that brought you to our editorial office?
Progress: 'Two years ago, some black spots appeared in my apartment, the smell of shit comes from here, shit has cracked the wall, the reason is that the bathroom on the fourth floor has broken down and all the stench has been reflected, shit in my entrance
Progress: ' This phenomenon that happened from above is also reflected in the bathroom, this is not where people live'
Progress 'I also talked to the owner of the house to come and repair it, they came and repaired it, it was eliminated, but it was a small part, after 2 years the family came to the beach and when they saw it they were scandalized.
Progress: 'I inquired with the city's local institutions but the responses were negative.
How do you prove that this sewage discharge is from the 4th floor and not the 5th floor?
Progress: This is completely confirmed because the water is flowing not only here on the kitchen wall, but also in the bathroom. If the defect was mine, it would have discharged to the family on the second floor to the ceiling, but everything comes from the siphon on the fourth floor because it flowed outside the wall and went to the second floor from the outside.
Progress: I talked to the owner of the second floor about this problem and he was convinced because I let him in the entrance, and he was convinced that the fault was not mine but from above because the water does not rise from below upwards but from above downwards.
So you couldn't find a way to communicate with the owner of the 4th floor? What was the next step you took, did you go to the State Police to file a report?
Progress: I worried the Mayor at first, but he told me that it is not the municipality's nomenclature, but that the building administrator is responsible for this, but we do not have a building administrator.
