Name/ Internationally wanted, 37-year-old from North Macedonia arrested

State Police/Cooperation continues within the ENFAST network, with the aim of locating and capturing wanted citizens.

The police operation codenamed "Operation 48" is finalized.

The operation, by the Directorate of the Special Operational Force at the Criminal Police Department, in cooperation with the Operational Force services of the Durrës Local Police Directorate, based on information exchanged between FAST Albania and FAST North Macedonia.

In the city of Durrës, the services of the Special Operational Force Directorate, in cooperation with the services of the Durrës DVP, made it possible to locate and arrest citizen Ermir Sadiki, 37 years old, resident of Tetovo, North Macedonia.

This citizen was declared an international wanted person after the Basic Court of Tetovo sentenced him in absentia to 12 years in prison for the criminal offense of "Theft by force", provided for by the Criminal Code of North Macedonia.

In February 2023, citizen Ermir Sadiki entered an apartment in the village of Prshovcë, Tetovo, at night, physically attacked the owner of the apartment, causing serious injuries, and took a large amount of money.

Procedures are ongoing to extradite this citizen to North Macedonia.
