Summer Day in Tirana, traffic is being diverted! What will the traffic and vehicle movement restrictions be like?

As has become a tradition, Tirana will welcome the Summer Day celebrations this year as well. The Municipality of Tirana announces that the traffic diversion will start from 12:00 on March 13th, until the early hours of March 15th. The Municipality of Tirana also announces that a series of festive activities for all age groups are planned, which will start in the early hours of the day and will end late after midnight.
In order to guarantee the smooth running of these activities and to allow citizens to celebrate peacefully, the Municipality of Tirana, in cooperation with the State Police, has taken all measures to limit vehicle traffic on some of the roads where the activities are planned to take place.
Restriction of vehicle traffic for the smooth running of activities organized by the Municipality of Tirana within the framework of "Summer Day 2026", on the road segments and schedules as follows:
a. From March 13, 2026, 10:00 PM, to March 14, 6:00 PM:
-Boulevard "Dëshmorët e Kombit" from the Ministry of Interior, to the beginning of the former "Hotel Dajti";
-Boulevard "Dëshmorët e Kombit" from the Bridge and the former "Hotel Dajti", to the intersection with "Ismail Qemali" street;
-Boulevard "Dëshmorët e Kombit" from the intersection with "Ismail Qemali" street, to the intersection with "Gjergj Filipi" street;
-Boulevard "Dëshmorët e Kombit" from the intersection with "Gjergj Filipi" street, to the beginning of "Mother Teresa" square;
b. From March 13, 2026, 12:00, until March 15, 02:00
-“Dëshmorët e 4 Shkurtit” Street from the intersection with “Ismail Qemali” Street, to the intersection with “Brigada VIII” Street;
-“Pjetër Bogdani” Street from the intersection with “Sami Frashëri” Street, to the intersection with “Gjin Bue Shpata” Street.
2. The circulation of vehicles, emergency vehicles and State Police will be carried out according to the movement plan, as follows:
On “Lek Dukagjini” Street;
On “Abdyl Frashëri” Street;
On “Papa Gjon Pali II” Street;
On “Sami Frashëri” Street;
On “Jean D'Ark” Boulevard;
On “Bajram Curri” Boulevard;
On “Myslym Shyri” Street;
On “Abdi Toptani” Street.
3. The route of movement of urban lines will continue as follows:
Line No. 13 “New Tirana” and Line No. 2 “Teg – Old Sauk – Zoo – Former Train Station”, will divert to “Willson” Square and “Zogu I” Boulevard.
