Verstappen wins a GT3 race at the Nurburgring, but… is disqualified

As winning races with the new Formula 1 cars has become something complicated for him, Max Verstappen wanted to show that the problem does not lie in his driving skills.

This Saturday, the Dutch Red Bull driver participated and won with a Mercedes   GT3 car in the 4 Hours of Nurburgring, a race that precedes the 24 Hours race that will be held in May at the mythical German track.

But the Dutchman has another problem, his poor relations with the regulations, and this was confirmed in this race as well, as Max Verstappen was disqualified because, together with the other co-pilots, they used 1 set of tires more than the allowed quota.

Max Verstappen had won pole position on the full Nurburgring circuit, over 24 km long, with a lead of around 2 seconds. Alternating with Frenchman Jules Gounon and Spaniard Daniel Juncadella, the Dutchman contributed to his car's victory with a lead of around 1 minute over second place, before the race stewards intervened.
