Gyökeres leads the race for the Golden Shoe, Mbappé and Salah in pursuit

Viktor Gyökeres has finished the season as the absolute leader in the race for the Golden Shoe, leaving behind big names such as Kylian Mbappé and Mohamed Salah. The Swedish striker from Sporting Lisbon capped an extraordinary season in Portugal, with 39 goals in 34 matches, leading the team to the championship title and accumulating 58.5 points in the standings for this prestigious individual award.

Now, Gyökeres is on hold, he has no more matches to play and it will depend on what his closest followers do: Mbappé and Salah, who still have two challenges each in their respective leagues.

What do his rivals need?

Kylian Mbappé has scored 28 goals in La Liga and has accumulated 56 points (28 goals × 2). To pass Gyökeres, the Frenchman needs at least 2 goals in the remaining matches against Sevilla and Real Sociedad.
