Erling Haaland will become a father for the first time, the striker reveals that his partner is pregnant on the pitch

Erling Haaland celebrated becoming Norway's all-time top goalscorer by revealing that he and his girlfriend, Isabel Haugseng Johansen, are expecting their first child. 

The forward scored his 33rd and 34th international goals in the 3-0 win over Slovenia on Thursday night.

He passed the figure of the late footballer, Jorgen Juve, on the list of all-time goalscorers for Norway. Haaland achieved this feat in just 36 games.

But, while celebrating, Haland discovered that his partner is expecting sweetly. The striker placed the ball snapped under his shirt and thumb in his mouth to show that he is soon to be a father.

He posted the image on Instagram accompanied by baby emojis. Johansen is said to have met Haaland at the youth academy in Bryne, where they both played and started dating when the footballer was at Borussia Dortmund.

Haaland joined the club at the age of five and spent more than 10 years with the Norwegian side before later moving on to RB Salzburg, Dortmund and Man City.

Johansen moved from her Norway home to Manchester to live with Haaland in a flat in the city's northern suburbs.
