"I understand where the problem is, but..."/ Robert De Niro tells how he experienced the change in his daughter, Ayrin!

Legendary actor Robert De Niro has not hesitated to support his daughter Ayrin, who has publicly come out as transgender. He told TMZ:
I loved and supported Aaron as my son, and now I love and support Ayrin as my daughter. I don't understand what the problem is, I love all my children.
De Niro is a father of seven. Ayrin, born Aaron and with a twin brother named Julian, is his daughter with actress Toukie Smith.
Since last November, Ayrin has started hormone therapy and is at an important stage in her life, where she seems to be receiving full support from her famous father. In statements given to the same media, Ayrin has recounted some of the difficult comments she has heard throughout her life:
I've been told I was too big, not skinny enough, not black enough, not white enough, too feminine, not masculine enough... No one has told me I'm perfect just the way I am.
In an interview with "Them" magazine, Ayrin was open and critical:
People don't know anything about me, I feel like they don't know me yet. And when I see trans women who are honest and open, especially in public spaces like social media, and I see them successful, I think maybe it's not too late for me too.
She has also revealed that she has been a victim of bullying for a good part of her life:
There's a difference between being visible and being seen. I've been visible, but I don't think anyone has ever really seen me. They've been ruthless, and I've never fit the beauty standards.
