Pink October / Minister Koçiu's message: Take advantage of our free mammography program throughout the country

At the start of breast cancer awareness month, the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Albana Koçiu addressed a video message to all women and girls.

In this video message, Minister Koçiu emphasizes the efforts and commitment of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in the ongoing battle against breast cancer, the most widespread tumor disease among women.

Koçiu emphasizes that the extension of free mammography coverage throughout the country, as well as the expansion of oncology departments in regional hospitals, have caused the number of early diagnoses to increase year after year, as well as the number of fatalities to decrease.

Inviting all women and girls to cooperate with health structures, the minister underlines that early diagnosis remains the most efficient cure and that mammograms save lives.

The Minister of Health called for all women and girls to take advantage of the free mammography program, offered throughout Albania, by booking an appointment for check-up every day of the year.

" Let's fight breast cancer together. Thanks to our guns and doctors, this is a battle that many mothers and women are successfully winning. Join the national breast cancer awareness and early diagnosis program. Love yourself! Check in on time! " - concludes the message of the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Albana Koçiu.
