Preç Zogaj: The Trump administration supports SPAK, they also gave

Preç Zogaj, invited to the show "The Unexposed" on MCN TV, spoke about the DASH report, which mentions Sali Berisha's persona non grata and SPAK's accusations against Berisha and his son-in-law.

According to the analyst, this is an indication that the Trump administration is following the same policy as the previous administration, which suggests that it supports SPAK, while it is unlikely that Berisha's persona non grata will be lifted, as it is also cited in the latest report signed by the new administration.

"There are some new elements that are worth highlighting. This is a report made official by the State Department by the new administration, not carried over from what they left behind. We must bear in mind that the entire management team, the team that also covers the Balkans, has been completed with new managers, who were appointed by the new Trump administration. The other element, there was relative silence, they had openly stated that the US would no longer mention SPAK and they pulled the plug. It was curious that the new administration would express itself on SPAK. In the report for 2024 that has the seal of the new administration, because if they were against it, they would not publish the report or add their own.

After two months, we receive and learn that the new American administration is following the previous one in terms of evaluating the work of SPAK. This is very important to encourage SPAK. There are even remarks, inciting criticism, saying that the investigations were at low levels.

Today in Albania, the new justice system has an official document that shows that the US is following the same policy. I warned it, there was a lot of opposition, but I have my own interpretation of the American administration.

Regarding the non-grata, I am not a Berisha supporter, but I am one of those democrats who wanted Berisha's non-grata status to be removed, for the history of Albania.

The transfer in this report, even if it is a fact, because there is no way to invent it, but there are also other facts. The citation of the sanctioning of Berisha and the acts that led to his sanctioning, which Rubio is using to sanction former politicians in Latin America. So we have two pieces of news, while in Albania, they were impatiently waiting for SPAK to be unplugged and Berisha to be removed from non-grata, they take it and cite the act, affirming it.

"President Trump's new administration is relying on an act on which many others have been sanctioned before, so it will continue to sanction various politicians around the world for major corruption," Zogaj said.
