Another movement is reported to be taking place in Tirana Municipality.

After the dismissal of Toni Beni from the position of General Director of the Municipal Police, Elona Lalaj Xhelilaj  will be the successor to this position.

Referring to sources of "VNA.al", it is learned that Xhelilaj is expected to be appointed Head of the Municipal Police. This appointment seems to be part of the "broom" to remove Veliaj's people from the Municipality of Tirana.

Toni Beni, who was dismissed a month ago, was appointed as the Chief of Municipal Police. The latter was known as one of Veliaj's close associates in the Municipality of Tirana.

After the clashes for the position of deputy mayor where Veliaj appointed Sara Goxhaj, whom Rama dismissed by appointing his favorite Anuela Ristani, now the new head of the Municipal Police seems to be a preference of the prime minister who "from afar" is pulling the strings of the largest municipality in the country./ VNA.al
