From Advisor to the Presidency to the Assembly of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani and Lumir

Kreshnik Çollaku, former DP MP, who has been an advisor to the Kosovo Presidency for a long time, will now be involved in Pristina politics. In a reaction on 'Facebook', former president Vjosa Osmani announces that Kreshnik Çollaku will also be part of the list of candidates for MPs of the LDK.

She appreciated Çollaku's contribution to the functioning of Kosovo and emphasized that the former DP MP should be part of the political journey, as a representative of the opposition.

Full statement:

A life built between university, diplomacy and the cause of Kosovo.

Today, together with Lumiri, we have the pleasure of introducing Kreshnik Çollaku as part of our political journey.

Niku has linked his commitment to supporting Kosovo, democracy and the Euro-Atlantic orientation of Albanians.

For more than 20 years as a university lecturer, he has shaped generations of students in the spirit of democratic thought, public responsibility, and Western vision.

In the most important periods of Kosovo's international consolidation, he served at the Albanian Embassy in Washington, contributing to strengthening American support for Kosovo and promoting its cause in American diplomatic circles.

As a member of parliament for the Democratic Party of Albania and an active part of parliamentary diplomacy, he has been a strong voice in support of Kosovo in regional and international forums, defending its right to independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity and Euro-Atlantic integration.

Kreshnik Çollaku is also one of the founders of the December 1990 Student Movement, the generation that overthrew the communist dictatorship and linked the fate of Albanians with democracy and the West.

Above all, he has always maintained a special connection with Kosovo, its people and its future.

Today, he is also a proud citizen of the Republic of Kosovo and, as my foreign policy advisor in the Presidency, he has made a valuable contribution to opening Kosovo's doors to the world, and in particular to deepening relations with the US.

We believe that the Assembly of Kosovo needs people with experience, integrity and vision, and in Kreshnik Çollaku they will find one.
Welcome Kreshnik and good luck on this crucial journey!
