Kosovo, vote counting in diplomatic missions ends, LVV receives 50th mandate/

The counting and processing of votes from all 47 polling stations organized in Kosovo's diplomatic missions abroad has been completed, where the Vetëvendosje Movement has scored a convincing victory with 83.28 percent of the votes. According to the published results, this lead has secured Prime Minister Albin Kurti's party its 50th mandate in the Kosovo Assembly.
From the voting in the diplomatic missions, the Democratic Party of Kosovo has received 1,608 votes or 7.13 percent, ranking second. It is followed by the Democratic League of Kosovo with 1,490 votes, respectively 6.60 percent of the votes counted.

Meanwhile, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo secured 464 votes, or 2.06 percent of the total votes cast in embassies and consulates.
Voting by the diaspora in diplomatic missions took place in 47 polling stations located in 30 diplomatic missions of Kosovo in 18 different countries, including embassies and consulates where thousands of citizens with the right to vote were registered.
Meanwhile, the counting of postal votes continues.

Early elections were held on June 7, 2026, after political parties failed to reach an agreement on the president, sending Kosovo Albanians to the ballot boxes for the second time in six months.
