Compensation from DIVA, Taxes publish instructions for declaring bank accounts

Anyone who has completed the Annual Personal Income Tax Declaration (DIVA 2025) and has overpaid tax has the right to request compensation for the amount.
The beneficiaries of the compensation are both individuals who will result in overpaid tax, after deducting child expenses in the amount of 48 thousand lek per year for each dependent child and 120 thousand lek for education, but also individuals who do not have children, but result in a surplus from the tax recalculation.
For all categories, after application, the compensation will be received in the bank account, for which accurate data must be declared and in all cases the IBAN of the bank account (document issued by the bank where the declared bank account is registered) must be uploaded in pdf.
In order to ensure the submission of accurate data and avoid delays in the refund process, the tax administration has published guidelines for declaring accurate bank account data.

According to taxes, filling out the bank account is necessary to continue the refund procedure from the Tax Administration.
"All individuals who have completed the Annual Personal Income Declaration and have overpaid tax, for which they have submitted a refund request, must correctly declare their bank account details in the e-Filing system. Ensure that the data entered is accurate, to avoid delays in the refund process," Taxes announced.
For the first time this year, individuals without children, but who result in overpaid tax, will also benefit from compensation, due to the change in the method of tax recalculation. The application procedure for these individuals will also be the same. The only difference is that for these individuals it is not mandatory to upload a family certificate.
Earlier, Minister Petrit Malaj stated that after the completion of the declaration process on March 31, a total of 164,263 individual income declarations were completed, an increase of 25% compared to the same period last year.
According to him, around 77 thousand individuals are expected to benefit from compensation from the DIVA system for children under the age of 18.
Malaj said that the system has generated a total fund of 1.4 billion lek for reimbursement to individuals with credit surplus. So far, only 670 million lek have been requested from individuals to be transferred to their bank accounts.

Enter your Personal Identification Number (PIN) in the first field.
Enter the Password in the second field.
Check the box: "I have read and agree to the terms and conditions"
Click the “Log in” button.

Click on the “My eFiling” button — third from the left
A list of additional options will appear below it.
The “My eFiling” button is located between “Accounting” and “Access Management.” When clicked, its background changes to indicate that it is active.
After clicking “My eFiling”, a list of 4 options appears.
Click on the “My Profile” option — the last one in the list
Your profile page will open with all your data.
The list has 4 options: My Documents, My Notifications, My Issues, and My Profile. The last option is required.

The bank details form will open.
You can click “Download Guide” to get the official DPT guide in PDF format.
Before adding the account, make sure you have the following ready: IBAN number, bank name, and bank confirmation (PDF).
Fill out the form with your bank details.
