The owner of a Volkswagen Golf 5 must pay 200 thousand euros in parking fees even though his car costs no more than 5 thousand euros!

German media  have reported that after a year parked in the Berlin airport area, the car was moved by the authorities, but the parking fee for it exceeded 200 thousand euros.

The Golf had occupied a spot in the airport's short-term parking area since January 2024.

Despite the fact that the first ten minutes of parking are free, the hourly rate is very high, 23 euros per hour, which has led to this staggering amount.
