Melania Trump breaks tradition, refuses to meet with Jill Biden at the White House

Melania Trump has reportedly declined an invitation from US First Lady Jill Biden for a post-election meeting at the White House later this week.

In recent months, the former first lady has re-entered the political spotlight due to the publication of her memoir Melania.

Although she still avoided appearances with her husband Donald Trump on the campaign trail, a smiling Melania appeared at the president-elect's side as he won on election night.

However, despite her apparent willingness to re-engage with the world of politics, sources told CNN that Melania will skip the traditional First Lady meeting.

Sources said the snub is due to an upcoming scheduling conflict with her New York Times best-selling book.

Another source offered another reason for Melania's anticipated absence, claiming she still harbors a grudge over the FBI raid on Trump's Mar-a-Lago mansion in Palm Beach, Florida in August 2022 as part of the federally classified documents.

"She's not going," that unnamed source told the New York Post. "Jill Biden's husband authorized the FBI to snoop through her underwear drawer. The Bidens are disgusting. Jill Biden is not someone Melania should meet," said the source close to the Trump family.

A source also told the Daily Mail that "Mrs. Trump is not going," adding that Melania and Jill Biden "have not spoken."
