Lushnja massacre/ Laert Haxhiu is extradited this Wednesday from Greece to Albania

Greece has agreed to the extradition to Albania of Laert Haxhiu, sentenced to life imprisonment.

The Albanian authorities are waiting today for his arrival in our country. However, it is a process that is being coordinated with the Greek side for the schedule of its conduct.

Haxhiu is accused of what is known as the Lushnja Massacre that happened in September 2017. Jurgen Hoxha and Zamir Latifi lost their lives in that event.

According to the investigations, the target of the execution was Aldo Bare's nephew, Xhulio Shkurti, as revenge for the history of conflicts between the families of Xhulio Shkurti and Laert Haxhiu.

Laert Haxhiu is also accused by Albanian justice that, together with several other people, he is the author of 18 crimes in Albania, including 4 murders and several explosions with tritol.

The event was brought to light by the person close to the 31-year-old who turned into a repentant justice.
