Dubbed as "Monster Mansion", 36-year-old Selamaj attacked with strong tools, two guards in Frankland prison, County Durham, where he is serving a life sentence.

Selamaj admitted that he had injured one person with intent and assaulted another, causing him actual bodily harm.

He is serving a life sentence for the brutal murder of Sabina as she went to a pub in Kidbrooke, South East London, to meet an old friend.

The primary school teacher, 28 years old, fell into the ambush set up by Selamaj and was beaten to death, while the attack was considered "premeditated and predatory" by foreigners.

Newcastle Crown Court heard that prison staff had intervened when they heard banging coming from the killer's cell.

They went in to see what had happened and discovered that his toilet had been "destroyed".

Selamaj then threatened the guards while holding a piece of porcelain.

He punched one officer – causing a wound to his knee and forearm – before punching the second two or three times in the face.

Selamaj, who is now in Broadmoor maximum security prison, will serve the additional sentence after serving a minimum sentence of 36 years to life in prison for Sabina's murder.

He was convicted in absentia of Sabina's murder in April 2022 after refusing to attend court.
