The cell phone of Ilaria Sula, the Albanian student killed by ISIS in Rome, has been found - it will undergo forensic analysis.

Italian authorities have found the cellphone of Ilaria Sula, the 22-year-old Albanian woman who was brutally murdered in Rome on March 26 by her ex-partner, Mark Samson. The phone was found in the apartment on Homs Street, in the neighborhood known as the “African Zone,” where the macabre crime took place.

The discovery of the device was made possible thanks to the testimony of the perpetrator himself, who was assisted by lawyers Fabrizio Gallo and Alessandro Pillitu. The information he provided proved crucial in locating the mobile phone, which was seized by the Flying Squad investigators.

The Piazzale Clodio prosecutors, who are investigating the case and have filed charges of murder and concealment of the corpse against Samson, have already ordered forensic analysis of the cell phone.

The device's expertise is expected to help reconstruct the final details of Ilaria Sula's life and further shed light on the motives and dynamics of the crime.

The incident shocked public opinion in Italy and Albania. Ilaria, an Albanian student at the “La Sapienza” University in Rome, was stabbed in the apartment of her ex-boyfriend’s boyfriend, while her parents were at home.

Samson then hid her body in a suitcase and abandoned it in a wooded area near Pola, near the Italian capital. In his testimony, he admitted to the crime, saying he was driven by jealousy.

Investigations into this serious incident are continuing, and it is expected that cell phone data will reveal more about the victim's recent contacts and movements.
