Journalist Igli Çelmeta, speaking on Andrea Danglli's "Off the Record" show on A2 CNN, said that at least 4 of the candidates in the race for director of the State Police have problems with the purity of their image, one of the main criteria for selection for this important post.

Çelmeta announced that the Ministry of Interior has conducted relevant verifications for the candidates, requesting information from law enforcement agencies, including SHISH and SPAK, as well as from international partners.

The journalist, citing confidential sources, said that some of the applicants for the position of director of the State Police have had problems in this regard and as a result are not expected to be elected to head the institution.

He further emphasized that after the appointment of the new director, a new wave of "purge" is expected in the ranks of the "blue uniforms".

" One of the main criteria is that the Ministry of Interior has carried out background checks on candidates, requesting information from law enforcement agencies, including SHISH and SPAK, but also international partners. Confidential sources inform me that some candidates applying for the position of Director of the State Police have had problems with their background, and will not be elected to lead the country's police. In addition to these candidates, it is expected that after the election of the new Director of the Police, we will have a new purge in the State Police, where we will have a collaboration between the Ministry of Interior, the State Police and SPAK, to clean up the State Police.
