2 thousand euro fine for harassment of journalist, 60 organizations against the agreement of the Pristina Prosecution Office with the accused

Around 60 civil society organizations and organizations representing over 150 media outlets in Kosovo have reacted today after reports that the Pristina Prosecution Office has requested a low sentence for the harassment of a KALLXO.com journalist, committed by publishers and followers of the infamous "AlbKings" group.

A day earlier, the Pristina Prosecution Office presented to the court the agreement with the defendants, who are scheduled to be sentenced to only 2 thousand to 2 thousand 500 euros in fines for the continuous harassment of the journalist. The three defendants were arrested by the Police in special operations.

In their reaction, civil society activists have asked the Pristina Court to reject this agreement, demanding deserved punishment for the perpetrators of this crime.
