VKM/ Decision approved, who is the company that will take control of the tracking of medical cannabis

The government has approved the decision to appoint a company that will deal with the marking and traceability of the cannabis plant in Albania.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Health and Social Protection have selected the company "ALBTrace Co", sh.a. for this process. This proposal has received the agreement of the government.

DECISION ON THE DESIGNATION OF THE AUTHORITY AUTHORIZED TO IMPLEMENT MARKING AND TRACEABILITY.

In support of Article 100 of the Constitution and point 5, Article 34, of Law No. 61/2023, “On the control of the cultivation and processing of the cannabis plant and the production of its by-products for medical and industrial purposes”, upon the proposal of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Minister of Health and Social Protection, the Council of Ministers

DECIDED: The authorized authority for the implementation of marking and traceability, according to Law No. 61/2023, "On the control of the cultivation and processing of the cannabis plant and the production of its by-products for medical and industrial purposes", is the company "ALBTrace Co", sh.a.

The Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the National Cannabis Control Agency and the company “ALBTrace Co”, sh.a., are charged with the implementation of this decision. This decision enters into force after its publication in the “Official Gazette”, the decision states.
