Shehaj, Qori and Lapaj boycott Ermal Hasime's initiative to unite the

The Forum for Political Dialogue, headed by political scientist Ermal Hasimja, failed to bring together at one table those parts of the opposition that do not cooperate with the DP and its allies.

The meeting, which aimed to issue a joint statement on opposition political action and electoral reform, brought together representatives of the DP, some of its allies, but no one showed up from the parties of Adratik Lapaj, Agron Shehaj and Arlind Qori.

If Shehaj and Qori's hopes of sitting at this opposition table were dashed, Hasimja claims that negotiations are continuing with Lapaj.

"We have been constantly discussing, meeting, and we see no reason why Albania should not be part of this table," said Hasimja.

Two hours of discussions seemed to be enough for the political representatives and the Forum for Political Dialogue to come to a common position. From this roundtable it became clear that on February 20, the Democratic Party will not only be in the square, but will also have a unified position on the Electoral Code and will support justice.

"Through this roundtable, we agreed to be against any legal change that seeks to attack justice and disable it. We also agreed on constitutional justice."

"We also have a unified position on the Electoral Code. Another important point is the issue of the request for a transitional government to prepare free and fair elections," Hasimja said.

The DP was represented at the table by vice president Luciano Boçi, after accepting Lapaj's previous request to avoid the leaders of these forces.

Luciano Boçi, vice president of the DP, said: "The goal is the same, but we must also unify the path."

The Political Dialogue Forum will continue meetings with opposition political parties and next week there will be a second roundtable to detail common positions.
