Rama gives the news: NATO Summit will be held in 2027 in Tirana

The NATO summit will be held in Tirana in 2027. The news was shared on social media by Prime Minister Edi Rama, according to whom this decision was taken unanimously at the June 24-25 summit in The Hague.
"The Hague, the NATO Summit unanimously decided to organize it in Tirana in 2027," Rama wrote on social media, also sharing photos from the meeting.
Tirana was officially announced as the organizer of the highest-level meeting of leaders of NATO member countries, at the Hague Summit in the Netherlands, where the Albanian delegation was led by Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The final declaration of the Summit states that Albania will host the next NATO summit after the one planned for next year in Turkey.
The NATO summit is expected to bring to Albania the leaders of the world's most powerful countries, including the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump.
On April 1, 2009, Albania became a full member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization - NATO, marking one of the most important historical achievements for the country.
