'Pink cocaine', the drug of the rich that is going crazy and poisoning the youth

It is being considered not only as a luxury drug of the rich, but also with scary and disturbing side effects for users, as the authorities announced that they are following the case.
It is called "pink cocaine", a type of ecstasy called "tussi" and which is driving the youth of Naples crazy, mainly students, but one of the physical consequences of which is also aggression or excitement. And behind the distribution, Italian investigators suspect that it is the "Camorra". In one of the reported cases, the victim confessed that after consuming the pill in question, she became unconscious and was then raped.
A totally synthetic substance with powerful hallucinogenic effects, which can be bought in tablets or powder at very high prices, up to 400 euros per dose. Despite the costs, it is being firmly established in the market, especially in environments where consumers have no qualms about spending significant amounts to "get high", writes "La Repubblica".
What makes it even more attractive is the unmistakable color and strawberry aroma used to pack it. Getting it is still complicated, but in Chiaia and Quartieri Spagnoli the demand is growing. And from the investigations carried out in recent months by the carabinieri of the Stella company, in addition to distribution from abroad, a gradual increase in production appears.
The first laboratory was identified in December in Forcella, in via San Nicola dei Caserti, in an area mainly frequented by university students. It was run by three people, all without criminal records, and for this reason, the raid brought to mind the famous series "Breaking Bad", where a calm professor of Chemistry turns into a drug trafficker, challenging the mafia cartels.
Less than a month ago, this time in the alley of the poor San Gennaro in Sanità, during a search, 26 grams of pink cocaine distributed in 35 wrappers were found, together with other traditional drugs such as ketamine, marijuana and hashish. On July 24, another circumstance: in "Via Aspromonte in Secondigliano", a 34-year-old merchant, owner of a shoe factory, was shot in the stomach.
The police check the store and make an interesting discovery: A kilogram of ecstasy, packaging material for the drug and some precision scales are found. One of them is soaked in pink substance. Therefore, turnover seems destined to increase.
The powdered form, consisting of a mixture of ketamine and amphetamine, to which benzodiazepines are sometimes added, otherwise known as "tussì", can also act on the central nervous system and cause very serious consequences. The pills, technically 2C-B, have effects comparable to those of ecstasy and LSD, the feeling of being in a prolonged state of excitement, but which can lead to aggression.
Investigations now aim to identify the various links in the chain that brings pink cocaine from abroad into the heart of Naples. At the moment, the "Camorra" seems to be in the background, as if waiting to figure out how to get into business. And the new drug of the rich is starting to get scary.
The chilling story: I was given pink cocaine, then raped...
It happened in "San Giovanni a Teduccio", one summer evening a year ago. Two entrepreneurs aged 42 and 35 are in an apartment with a 39-year-old friend. They try to convince her to have a threesome. She refuses.
"At that moment, they sprayed me with a pink powder, snorted at me, and even made me swallow it," says the woman.
Soon after, he falls asleep and the consequences are dramatic, up to sexual abuse. But this episode, reconstructed from the investigations carried out by the prosecutor Mariangela Magariello with the deputy prosecutor Raffaello Falcone, tells another story, because it confirms the spread of the new drug of the rich in the city: pink cocaine.
