Parliament proceedings/ Denar Biba elected chairman of the Competition Authority Commission, draft laws on the agenda approved

Denar Biba is the chairman of the Competition Authority Commission, elected with majority votes, but also with some votes from the opposition, in the afternoon session of the Albanian Parliament.

Also, all agenda items were approved in the Assembly.

The draft law “On the ratification of Additional Protocol 7 on the settlement of disputes of the agreement on the amendment and accession to the Central European Free Trade Agreement, ratified by law no. 9696, dated 21.3.2007” is approved with 87 votes in favor.

The draft law "On the ratification of the financing agreement, between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania, represented by the Ministry of Finance, and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti SpA, 'Improvement of the electricity transmission network in northern Albania after the 2019 earthquake'", is approved with 74 votes in favor.

The draft law "On the ratification of the agreement, between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the government of the Federal Republic of Germany, on technical cooperation 2024, for the project 'Green Vjosa (Green Vjosa) - Green and inclusive regional development in the watershed area of ​​the Vjosa National Park'" is approved with 88 votes in favor.

The draft law "On the accession of the Republic of Albania to the agreement for the implementation of the provisions of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of ​​10 December 1982, relating to the conservation and management of straddling fisheries resources and highly migratory resources" was approved with 88 votes in favor.

The draft decision "On the election of Denar Biba as Chairman of the Competition Authority Commission" is approved with 73 votes in favor.
