A powerful 6.1 magnitude earthquake has struck the Caribbean, causing tremors that have been felt as far away as Florida, where the England national team is preparing for the World Cup.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the epicenter of the earthquake was recorded west of Cuba, about 650 kilometers from central Florida, with a depth of about 16 miles.
The tremors were felt in several major cities such as Miami, Orlando and Jacksonville, while it is reported that some buildings have been evacuated for safety reasons.
The earthquake was also felt in several tourist areas of Florida, including Disney World, where visitors reported strong ground shaking.
US authorities confirmed that there is no risk of a tsunami, and so far no major damage or casualties have been reported.

England are currently in Florida preparing for their World Cup friendlies and will face Costa Rica in Orlando this week. The Three Lions are currently training in West Palm Beach before moving to Kansas City for the final phase of their preparations.
