"It is private property"/ Rama speaks to "Al Jazeera": The government is not selling public land, the investment in Zvërnec is a blessing for the country

Prime Minister Edi Rama stated that the investment in Zvërnec is a blessing for the country as it brings an investment of 4 billion dollars to the economy.
In an interview with "Al Jazeera", Rama spoke about the investment in Zvërnec, emphasizing that "it has never been up for discussion whether this project will be realized or not."
Rama underlined that this project is a great investment opportunity, while rejecting claims that the government is selling public land.
"This is a blessing for the country. An investment of 4 billion euros in a country with a gross domestic product of around 27 billion euros speaks for itself," Rama said.
The Prime Minister explained that the investment will be made on private land and not on public land, and everything is an expression of interest based on a private agreement between private parties, in which the Albanian government has no role.
"Regarding the project that has caused all this reaction and controversy around the world, it is about private property. It is not about public land that the Albanian government is giving away by selling the land.
"It is private property. It is an expression of interest based on a private agreement between private parties, in which the Albanian government has no role," Rama told Al Jazeera.
