Zelensky phone call with Witkoff and Kushner: Complicated discussion about territories

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has held a phone call with Donald Trump's peace envoy, Steve Witkoff, and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, to discuss diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the war with Russia.
Zelensky described the conversation as constructive, saying the parties "discussed ways to ensure that Russia adheres to any possible peace agreement."
Meanwhile, Ukrainian officials are holding meetings in Miami to discuss US proposals for a possible peace deal. So far, Moscow has made no concessions and continues airstrikes on several Ukrainian cities.
"Ukraine is determined to work in good faith with the American side to achieve lasting peace. We discussed ways that can stop the bloodshed and avoid a new full-scale Russian invasion," Zelensky declared after the conversation.
Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron held a separate phone call with Zelensky, condemning Russia's latest attacks and stressing France's commitment to a diplomatic solution.
"France is determined to work with all partners to ensure measures to reduce tensions and impose a ceasefire," declared Macron, who confirmed that he will hold meetings in London on Monday with Zelensky, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, to discuss further steps towards peace in Ukraine.
