Rrjolli is surrounded by barbed wire, residents warn of protest: No wall, fence or barrier will stop us

Barbed wire has surrounded an area of ​​land in the Velipoja district, causing reactions and concern among residents of the area, who claim that their access to properties they consider inherited for generations is being restricted.

According to them, the enclosure is related to the development of a tourism project in the area and constitutes a step that gradually excludes them from using the land. The views from the ground have fueled dissatisfaction and revolt among citizens.

In protest, residents have announced a protest on June 13th, at 10:00 AM, inviting citizens and activists to join them in their demand for solutions and transparency.

They state that Rrjolli should remain a shared space and warn that the upcoming rally will be an important moment to raise their voices against what they describe as the restriction and isolation of the area.

"When people come together to defend their rights and dignity, no wall, fence or barrier is stronger than the will of a united people," their appeal states.
