The case, published on the show "Stop", this Tuesday, June 9, concerns a student at the Faculty of Law at the "Luigj Gurakuqi" University in Shkodra. She claims that she was raped by the teaching secretary Malvina Hallunaj, during a conflict that arose over the delay in the delivery of her diploma.
According to the student, after several appearances at the secretariat to withdraw her diploma, on June 4, the situation deteriorated into a physical confrontation within the faculty premises, where she claims that the secretariat hit her and grabbed her by the throat.
For her part, the secretary says that it was the student who attacked her, hitting her with a pen refill and damaging documents in the office.
After the incident, the dean of the Faculty of Law, Paulina Hoti, requested the dismissal of the secretary.
On the other hand, the Rector of the University, Tonin Gjuraj, met with the student and promised to investigate the incident. According to official information, disciplinary action was taken against the secretary, "warning for dismissal."
Meanwhile, the Shkodra Police have launched an investigation following the student's complaint. The secretary has been prosecuted for the criminal offense of "Other intentional damage", while footage from the university's security cameras has also been administered. The final decision on responsibilities will be made by the Shkodra Prosecutor's Office. /tvklan.al
